Battery regulation

INSTRUCTION AND INFORMATION ON THE BATTERY ORDINANCE:
 
The seller is in connection with the sale of batteries or accumulators according to the Battery Ordinance obliged to inform the customer as follows.
The customer must ensure that his old batteries, as required by law ( a disposal in the household waste violates the battery ordinance ), to a municipal collection point or in the trade locally. The delivery is free of charge! The customer can return batteries or accumulators, which he received from the sellers, after use under the following address to the sellers free of charge or send back sufficiently stamped by post office to the sellers:

Batteries that contain harmful substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out garbage can.
Under the garbage can symbol is the chemical name of the pollutant. For example, "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" for lead and "Hg" for mercury.
The customer also has the option of reading this information again in the documents accompanying the shipment or in the manufacturer's operating instructions.
The customer can find further information on the Battery Ordinance at the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety ( www.bmu.de ).
